EXAMPLE:

Dear Maricopa County Officials,

I am a resident in the Rio Verde Foothills and I am writing to express my concerns regarding the proposed MorDo development and its impact on traffic and emergency access in Rio Verde Foothills and surrounding communities.

Our community relies on Rio Verde Drive, a two-lane roadway with eastern and western routes providing access in and out of the area. If one route becomes blocked or heavily congested, residents are effectively left with only one way out.

This is a real concern. We have experienced wildfires in our area that have required evacuation planning and preparedness. During these events, many residents must evacuate not only with personal vehicles but also with horse trailers and livestock, placing additional strain on an already limited road network.

During the wildfire that occurred near the McDowell Mountains a few years ago, conditions could have easily resulted in a more limited evacuation scenario had the fire spread further north. Adding thousands of additional vehicle trips to Rio Verde Drive raises serious concerns about our community's ability to evacuate safely during an emergency.

I urge the County to carefully consider whether the existing road infrastructure can safely support the density being proposed and the additional traffic it would generate.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,
